Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled PCB Designer/Layout Engineer with a strong background in embedded software development and hardware engineering.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design of printed circuit boards (PCBs)—from schematic capture and layout through to manufacturing and testing. This role requires a deep understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM), component placement, signal integrity, and the full PCB lifecycle, including collaboration with contract manufacturers. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing and delivering reliable, production-ready PCB assemblies and embedded systems for a variety of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and layout of multi-layer PCBs, including high-speed digital, analog, and power circuits using industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCAD, Eagle).

• Team leadership, including oversight of junior designers and fresh graduates. 

• Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate schematics and system-level requirements into optimized PCB layouts.

• Route complex signals, ensuring signal integrity, proper impedance matching, and minimal EMI/EMC. 

• Optimize component placement and board layout for thermal management, testability, and manufacturability.

• Generate and review Gerber files, BOMs, and assembly documentation for fabrication and assembly.

• Work closely with contract manufacturers for DFM analysis, board bring-up, and troubleshooting.

• Develop and debug embedded firmware for microcontrollers and SoCs, interfacing with sensors, communication modules, and peripheral components.

• Assist in hardware prototyping, validation, and testing of board assemblies. 

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and version control of design files. Provide input into the product development lifecycle from concept to mass production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 

•10+ years of hands-on experience in PCB design, layout, and embedded firmware development.

• Strong proficiency with at least one major PCB design software (e.g., Altium, KiCAD, Solidworks PCB).

• Proficient in C/C++ or similar languages for embedded systems.

• Experience with common micro controller families (e.g., STM32, ESP32, ARM Cortex-M).

• Solid understanding of hardware design principles, including power management, noise reduction, and signal integrity.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including PCB fabrication and assembly standards (IPC, DFM/DFT).

• Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers and managing the manufacturing pipeline from prototyping to mass production.

• Strong analytical and debugging skills, with hands-on experience in lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeter, logic analyzers). Who We are Looking For:
